Fine Dining Restaurant Lovat On The Beach at Avalon Beach serving up-to-date Australian cuisine is looking for a sous chef/chef/kitchen manager. Previous experience in a similar role is a must. Competitive package plus super. Sponsorship is available for a suitable candidate, but you are required to work 6 months with us prior to this discussion.
Requirements of the position
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Proven leadership and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Demonstrated ability to create diverse and innovative menus
- Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies
- Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
- Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
- Preparing and cooking food
- Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
- May select and train staff
