RCR Mining Technologies is seeking an experiencedMaintenance Supervisor to lead day-to-daymaintenance and minor project works at the ALCOA Portfacility in Bunbury.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrivesin a dynamic industrial environment, can coordinatemultidisciplinary trades, and leads safety from the front. Workschedules will vary in line with shutdowns and operational demandsand may include nightshift, weekends, and extendedrosters.
About the Role
As the Port Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible forsupervising site activities, coordinating labour and resources, andensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently, andto client and OEM standards. You'll act asRCR's on-site representative and work closely with Alcoastakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate mechanical fitters, boilermakers,scaffolders/riggers, painters, trades assistants, andcontractors
* Lead daily prestarts, toolbox talks, and promote a strongsafety culture
* Plan and coordinate daily works, rosters, leave, and labourrequirements
* Develop and manage work packs and ensure adherence toscope, quality, and schedule
* Act as Isolation Officer and Confined Space Entry Leader
* Ensure compliance with site safety systems, permits, andlegislative requirements
* Conduct inspections, critical risk verifications, andparticipate in JHA development
* Liaise with clients and attend daily planning meetings
* Provide accurate progress updates and escalate technical orresourcing issues
* Prepare quotes for off-site repairs and fabricationwork
* Maintain accurate records, documentation, and competencycompliance
About You
You're a confident and capable leader with a strongbackground in fixed plant or port-based maintenance. Youcommunicate well, stay calm under pressure, and know how to get thebest out of your team while maintaining uncompromising safetystandards.
Essential Qualifications & Licences
* Certificate III in Engineering – Fabricationor Mechanical
* Construction White Card
* Current Driver's Licence
* Section 44 or Section 26 Appointment
* Working at Heights, Confined Space, Gas Test, FireAttack
* Strong working knowledge of isolation and permitsystems
Experience & Skills
* Minimum 5 years' experience supervisingtrades teams, ideally during shutdowns
* Demonstrated leadership in fixed plant or heavy industrialenvironments
* Strong planning, coordination, and execution skills
* Sound understanding of safety systems and legislativecompliance
* Competent with Microsoft Office (Word,Excel, Outlook)
* Microsoft Project experience (desirable)
