We are seeking an Electrical Technician to join our operations at the Adelaide Desalination Plant. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring plant reliability, performance, and longevity by carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance on critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and ensure operability of plant systems in line with operational standards and maintenance plans.
* Provide timely breakdown and emergency response services to support plant operations.
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks, including subcontractor coordination and supplier liaison.
* Diagnose and resolve faults on electrical, instrumentation, and control systems safely and efficiently.
* Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and company requirements.
About You
* Trade Certificate (Electrical) with current valid A Class unrestricted electrical license.
* Post-trade studies such as instrumentation, communications, and control PLC and SCADA systems, VSD diagnostic, Profibus, and Ethernet desirable.
* Proficient in operation, maintenance, diagnostics, programming, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment, including VFD, motors, active filters, capacitors, HV switchgear, LV switchgear, protection relay and controllers, generators, general lighting and fixtures, Profibus, Ethernet, SCADA, Citect, PLC systems, and water quality instrumentation.
* Experience in operation of water/wastewater plants highly regarded.
* Familiarity with maintenance.
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
* A high sense of ownership for the plant and its operations and ability to apply yourself to a broad range of tasks.
* A proactive and safety-focused approach to maintenance and operations.
* Willingness to participate in out of hours work on an occasional planned or unplanned basis.
