Role Description
An exciting and newly created opportunity has arisen to join a leading global organisation as a Compliance Director to ensure the company's adherence to laws, regulations and industry standards. As the Compliance Director, you will lead the development and implementation of compliance programs, collaborating with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of ethical conduct and integrity across the organisation. This position will involve working closely with the South Pacific business and also being an integral part of the global compliance team.
Responsibilities
4. Overseeing the Compliance program, managing risks and enabling business results.
5. Establishing a culture of Compliance by partnering with senior leaders and driving the tone at the top.
6. Developing and delivering training, policies, and guidance aligned with business goals and Compliance strategy.
7. Implementing Compliance goals within Business Units/Divisions or Countries, empowering business leadership and managing risk effectively.
8. Ensuring organisational compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards across regions.
9. Establishing effective Compliance controls, including written standards, education, auditing, and corrective action.
10. Providing input for continuous improvement of the compliance program, reflecting changes in laws, regulations, and business strategy.
11. Maintaining deep knowledge of business operations and compliance metrics to inform strategy and goals.
12. Focusing on team engagement and development, driving continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications
13. Minimum 10+ years of work experience in compliance, preferably in a regulated industry.
14. Strong understanding of effective Compliance programs and local ethical codes.
15. Excellent communication, leadership, and influencing skills.
16. High level of professionalism, business acumen, and judgement.
17. Ability to drive complex work of significant impact.
18. Demonstrated ability to work independently and embrace change.
19. Excellent discretion and maintenance of confidentiality.
