About the Company
State Sport Centres (SSC) operates a portfolio of Victoria's most iconic sporting and community venues, including the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre, State Netball and Hockey Centre, Lakeside Stadium and the State Basketball Centre.
As SSC continues through a significant period of organisational transformation, it is strengthening its procurement capability to deliver greater consistency, governance and alignment with Victorian Government Purchasing Board (VGPB) requirements.
We are now seeking an experienced Procurement Transformation Lead on a fixed‑term contract to drive the next phase of this uplift.
About the Position
This is a hands-on transformation role for a strategic procurement professional who thrives on leading change and embedding sustainable improvements.
You will take ownership of the next stage of SSC's procurement reform program, working closely with senior leaders and stakeholders across the organisation to embed new policies, procedures and systems that will shape how procurement operates going forward.
This role offers genuine autonomy, influence and senior-level visibility. It forms part of a broader procurement uplift program at SSC, alongside a Procurement Business Partner.
Key Focus Areas
* Embedding procurement policies, governance frameworks and procedural reforms
* Leading change management and internal stakeholder engagement
* Developing, implementing and improving procurement systems, tools and documentation
* Translating VGPB requirements into practical, fit-for-purpose processes
* Driving consistency, compliance and confidence in procurement practices across SSC
About You
* Significant experience developing, reviewing and implementing procurement policies and procedures at an organisation-wide level
* Proven ability to work independently and influence stakeholders at all levels Strong change leadership capability with experience embedding new ways of working
* Highly developed communication, consultation and relationship-building skills
* Local or state government experience, or experience in similar sectors, is preferred, along with strong knowledge of VGPB guidelines
