About the Role
BOQ Group is transforming it's risk and compliance practices in an effort to strengthen our bank, industry, people and customer experience. For our Line 1 and 2 teams, there is a significant change agenda to uplift the technical, professional and behavioural skills that will foster better risk identification and management across the Enterprise. The Manager – Risk and Compliance Capability will lead a team to deliver the enduring risk capability solutions and immediate change focused training requirements for our Risk Transformation. This role is responsible for assessing, scoping, designing, building and delivering the Risk & Compliance Academy learning curriculums, courses and performance support tools that enable Line 1 and 2 teams, to confidently and competently uplift their risk maturity and deliver a strong risk culture at BOQ Group.
Key responsibilities of this role will include:
1. Scope, Design, Build and deliver/co-deliver the Risk and Compliance Academy, and underlying learning pathways that effectively develop, assess and embed the knowledge, skills and behaviours required
2. Conduct Training Needs Analysis and reference Change Impact Assessments to identify learning audiences, needs, assumptions and dependencies in knowledge, skills or behaviours required for effective knowledge transfer and change adoption in each audience group
3. Recommend and negotiate budget and resourcing to deliver the appropriate approaches for the learning needs of audiences
4. Manage roll-out and execution of the programs and tools, including program launch, monitoring quality and compliance, and ensuring business and learner outcomes are achieved
5. Build strategic partnerships and relationships with external parties to complement and enable capability development efficiently and effectively
6. Scope and design assessment methods and micro-learning tools that assess learner understanding and allow leaders and team members to continually embed risk maturity
7. Lead a small team Risk and Compliance capability partners/specialists and project

12. Extensive understanding of banker and leadership roles, risks, and responsibilities within a financial services environment (Desired)
13. Demonstrated understanding of modern talent practices to support career mobility
14. Demonstrated understanding of training needs analysis, methodologies and moments of learning needs with the ability to choose the most effective learning/performance solutions
15. Demonstrated systems thinking capabilities with the ability to distinguish training needs from other needs (process improvement, system design, communication, change management)
Key Skills:
16. Program Management
17. Extensive experience in the scoping, design and build of capability solutions and frameworks
18. Intermediate skills in modern learning authoring, information design and media tools which results in the efficient delivery of high quality learning content
19. Well developed internal consulting skills (Essential)
20. Execution - Root cause analysis, creative problem solving, internal and external research
21. Leading Others – giving and receiving feedback, fostering accountability, directing work, coaching and deciding/initiating action, building teams
22. Leading across the organisation – Strategic thinking, leading change, building culture, leading cross functionally, decision science, developing talent
23. Proven ability to manage a large volume of disparate work through to completion autonomously
