**The Role**
This role is located in Harman - ACT. In this role your duties may include:
- Assist in the support and development of the commercial team
- Provide advice and support to procurement and contracting activities across HQJOC. This requiring an understanding and ability to provide advice on the procurement process, commercial risk, legal and contract performance.
- Coordination and support of regular reporting (ie. finance, contract effectiveness, modern slavery). Work collaboratively with vendors and SME's (internal and external) to ensure all requirements are met.
- Support the management and transition of the Simulation Support Panel (SSP) to the Defence Support Services (DSS) Panel.
- Assist in the development and implementation of strategies for managing current and future commercial matters. Including contract management governance.
- Ensure compliance with Commonwealth and Defence policy across all procurement and contracting activities.
- Coordination of communication to personnel regarding any changes to procurement and contract management policy and procedures.
This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability.
