What We Are Looking For
If you are a qualified plumber looking to step off the tools, consider this exciting opportunity. As a Plumbing Inspector, you will play a crucial role in administering and enforcing statutory requirements related to plumbing and drainage installations within the building industry. Another important focus of this role is building strong, cooperative working relationships with the community and business owners. You will demonstrate excellent communication skills, independence, technical proficiency, and a focus on safety and compliance. If you have the required licence, please consider joining our team.
What Your Day Will Look Like
* Assessing and issuing Compliance Permits for plumbing and drainage work to ensure compliance with relevant Acts, Regulations and Council policy within legislated timeframes.
* Provide accurate and timely information and advice to owners, contractors, consultants and tradespeople.
* Independently inspect works in progress for compliance with the Plumbing and Drainage Regulation 2019.
* Investigating and reporting on illegal plumbing and drainage matters.

What You'll Need For Success
* Current Queensland Plumbers and Drainer Licence
* Construction Induction Training (White Card)
* Current Driver's Licence

* A recognised on-site sewerage design and maintenance qualification
* Service and Maintain Backflow Prevention Devices Licence endorsement
* Evaluating and Planning the Installation of Solar and Heat Pump Water Systems
* Testing, Commissioning and Maintaining Thermostatic Mixing Valves
