Job Summary
About the role
This role involves coordinating and delivering all logistics requirements related to defence projects, as well as other projects as needed. This includes managing a team of logistics engineers.
The successful candidate will work with various stakeholders to ensure that project logistics requirements are met on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
In this role you will:
* Identify, capture and allocate project logistic requirements to appropriate resources.
* Draft project logistics documentation (plans etc) as required.
* Manage the delivery of all logistic requirements for allocated projects and engage with customers to ensure acceptance.
* Ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness of logistics operations by employing life cycle cost modelling and logistics support analysis techniques.
* Implement processes and procedures to support the acquisition and sustainment of equipment in accordance with defence requirements.
* Participate in logistics planning workshops and work collaboratively with stakeholders.
* Engage project managers and project management group as required regarding deliverables.
Key Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
* Qualifications or significant experience in logistics domain
* Experience working within Commonwealth government environment.
* Ability to obtain security clearance.
* Minimum 3 years in similar role.
* Experience in defence sector highly desirable.
