ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Retail & Trade Sales Consultant, you'll be the first point of contact in the showroom, assisting homeowners, builders and trades with bathroom product advice and solutions. Hours are rostered within store operating times, with options including Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday/Friday–Monday.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
* Welcome customers and offer friendly, practical guidance on bathroom products
* Support trade and retail clients with quotes, sales and technical details
* Process sales and returns through company POS system
* Build strong relationships that keep customers coming back
* Keep up to date with products, promos and new arrivals
* Help maintain clean, organised displays and stock levels
* Work toward individual and team sales targets
* Cross‑sell and up‑sell where it's genuinely helpful
* NOTE: The position centres on product advice, with occasional light design guidance when needed
WHAT YOU BRING
* Experience in a general hardware store, bathroom/kitchen showroom, is essential
* Strong background in customer‑facing roles, ideally dealing with both retail and trade customers
* Confidence in handling customer queries and complaints while maintaining high customer satisfaction
* Solid general bathroom product understanding
* Clear communication, great listening skills and a calm approach
* Reliability (commitment to weekend work), initiative and a strong team mindset
