Lions Assistance Dogs has, for more than 45 years, provided Assistance Dogs to people in need across Australia. In that time, we have provided more than 750 Hearing Assistance Dogs to deaf and hard-of-hearing Australians, free of charge, and have recently expanded our service programs to include Diabetic Alert Dogs and Psychiatric Assistance Dogs for Veterans.
We are looking for a Development Coordinator to work within our growing Fundraising Team. The focus of this role will be on developing a regular giving membership program as well as communicating and engaging with regular donors to support the provision of our services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the development and growth of the regular giving membership program.
* Collate and prepare monthly communications to regular donors.
* Provide additional engagement opportunities for regular and non-regular donors to support effective, high-quality stewardship.
* Communicate effectively with new donors to provide a smooth and enjoyable onboarding experience.
* Establish and implement a donor/data acquisition plan to effectively and sustainably grow the donor base across multiple channels.
* Develop simple yet sophisticated reporting to measure the success of regular giving programs, retention, attrition, and other trends.
* Assist in the implementation of practices that support the organisation's donor journey and experience.
* Work closely with the other members of the Development team and wider organisation to find and facilitate fundraising opportunities.
About you:
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Proven ability to manage campaigns and projects to meet set deadlines.
* Experience working with a similar regular giving, membership or subscription program, or ability to demonstrate relevant transferable skills.
* Proficient in computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Office programs.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Motivated and high initiative.
* Able to work in part of a collaborative team as well as autonomously as needed.
* Hold an unencumbered driver's licence.
