We are excited to announce the opening for a Sales Manager in Australia within our Global Business Travel (GBT) business unit.
GBT is dedicated to helping customers realize the greatest possible value from their investment in travel through increased cost savings, outstanding customer service and greater spend control.
It is the world's largest online and offline travel management company and provides strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation support, industry-leading booking technology, and travel management expertise -around the world, around the clock, to meet each client's unique needs.
The main purpose of the position is to generate leads to deliver results to the Medium and Large Market segment for Business Travel in Australia.
The primary points of focus of this role is to:
- Drive lead generation opportunity and build a robust sales pipeline in the Australia Large Market which is currently defined as accounts that spend around $3-10M+ in business travel per annum.
- Achieve targets through transactional based sales as well as achieving team success in selling premium revenue though subscription to business travel services.
- Prospecting and filtering leads and building and managing a pipeline of opportunities to ensure successful achievement of acquisition targets through researching and understanding clients needs and positioning a defined suite of products and service solutions that meet requirements
- Developing the product knowledge, selling skills and ability to influence client decisions whilst working in a team spirit within the sales organization.
- Ensure all planning, tracking and reporting is timely and accurate using thorough methodologies
- There will also be a focus on developing a collaborative relationship and linkages within Business Travel departments such as Travel Operations and Client Management, as well as other business units such as Corporate Card and Merchant Services.
Skills required:
- Consistent record in sales negotiations and sale closure with national corporations and a structured sales management approach
- Impeccable communication and presentation skills and the ability to adapt their communication style to suit the audience.
- Astute business and market skill with shown knowledge of local competitors value propositions.
- Successful track record in liaising with a spectrum of Stakeholders including CFO, CEO, CPO, Procurement Managers, to Internal Operations and Administration Managers
- Robust display exceeding revenue targets with an ability to strategically plan both long and short term results,
- Interpersonally, the Sales Manager will present with high energy, professionally maturity and resilience.
You will be required to work in a team based environment, demonstrate a strong ability to run within a matrix structure and have the natural aim to succeed.
