For Remote candidates based in Malaysia!!! Only Chinese Mandarin and English business speakers! We are looking for an experienced General Insurance Broker to interact with Australian underwriters and both English and Chinese-speaking clients. This is not a life insurance position or finance/bank position. The skill set (previous experience) relates explicitly to general insurance broking for small and medium clients primarily focussed on property, liability and business insurance. Languages: English, Mandarin.
Position – General Insurance Broker
Key responsibilities will include:
- Working with an experienced broking team to service and grow a portfolio of general insurance clients
- Focusing on renewals, new business quotes, endorsements
- Dealing directly with clients by phone and email and via Zoom/Teams where required
- Growing and developing relationships with clients, underwriters, referral partners and other stakeholders
- Carry out key responsibilities with and without direct supervision
Your Skills
- Great communication skills both written and verbal (Chinese Mandarin and English)
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- High quality of output, highly detail-oriented with attention to accuracy
- Self-structured, and highly organised, with attention to steps, processes, systems and deadlines
- Driven to positive client outcomes
Your Qualifications/Experience
- Minimum 3 years of insurance broking experience
- Relevant country’s Insurance Broker qualifications
- Proficiency with broking systems – Winbeat, Sunrise (Officetech is beneficial but not necessary) – this is preferred but can be trained.
- Happy to work in a team setting
