On behalf of our client which is a well established Health Service in Whyalla on the Eyre Peninsula’s Spencer Gulf in South Australia. We are currently seeking an experienced Social Worker to join a well established and supportive Allied Health Team which is an integral part of the multidisciplinary health care team within the hospital, providing quality social work services to patients/ clients of the service in order to meet their health and wellbeing needs. The Whyalla landscape, coastline and aquatic environs are absolute in contrasts. Where the outback meets the sea, and industry cohabits with nature and vice versa in the most remarkable ways.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Promote the health and wellbeing of clients referred to the service
- Participate in quality improvement activities for patients and their families
- Contribute to workplace education to contribute to improved care for patients / clients and their families.
- Work independently as a practitioner in the provision of the social work clinical service.
- Assist in the development of procedures and guidelines as required to promote standardised evidence based practice.
**About You**
- Completed Bachelor or Masters of Social Work
- Eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
- Demonstrated effective written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and organise own work / caseload across a regional area.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement
- Demonstrated ability to provide evidence based practice
- Current unrestricted drivers' license and the ability to maintain.
- Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances.

**Remuneration Package**
Based on Experience Social Worker casual rates up to $65 p/h (depending on experience) + Super + Free Accommodation + Travel Allowance.
