We're looking for a dedicated Accountant to join our team and play a key role in maintaining financial integrity, supporting compliance, and driving strategic financial processes. This hands-on position offers the chance to influence our financial reporting, budgeting, and wholesale operations, ensuring strong controls and insightful financial management.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards (AASB).
* Generate timely monthly management reports, including profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
* Perform monthly bank, accounts receivable, and accounts payable reconciliations.
* Prepare intercompany and general ledger reconciliations.
Budgeting & Forecasting
* Assist with the annual budgeting process, including preparation of budget templates, data analysis, and consolidation.
* Support rolling forecasts and re-forecasting as required.
* Track actual performance against budget and report on key variances to management.
* Provide insights to support cost control and revenue improvement strategies.
Wholesale Operations Support
* Process and record wholesale transactions including sales, returns, credit notes, and inventory movements.
* Reconcile dealer accounts, monitor ageing reports, and work with sales teams on overdue collections.
* Maintain accurate costing of inventory and assist in margin analysis.
Compliance & Taxation
* Assist in the preparation of year-end financial statements and audit documentation.
* Maintain compliance with internal controls and franchise financial policies.
ERP Systems & Process Improvement
* Use accounting and ERP software to maintain financial data integrity.
* Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement in finance operations and reporting.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
* Minimum 3–5 years' experience in an accounting role, preferably within wholesale, automotive, or franchise operations.
* Strong understanding of GST, payroll, and Australian tax regulations.
* CPA or CA qualified (or working towards) highly regarded.

* Ability to work independently and communicate effectively across teams.
* Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools.
