OverviewDirector - Finance & Accounting, Human Resources & Business Support | MAHRI | Linking Great People to Great CareersLocation Osborne, SA | HybridRole highlightsReporting to the Head of Finance - Multi Class Sustainment, the Finance Manager - Program Governance will play a critical role in consolidating and driving program finance reporting, governance and performance across ASC.
This is a highly visible role in a complex, fast-moving environment, requiring a strong mix of commercial acumen, finance management, and project principles.OrganisationASC Pty Ltd has recently been selected as the Australian Government\'s Sovereign Submarine Partner to sustain and jointly build the nation\'s nuclear-powered submarines.

There is a huge focus on flexibility and leave, and rewards and benefits at ASC, and on top of this, ASC are an organisation that cares about your growth and development.ResponsibilitiesDrive the on-time delivery and quality of program finance reporting, both internal and external, across ASC\'s major sustainment and new-build programsWork with senior managers across the business to develop financial plans aligned to corporate strategy and project outcomesProvide management and oversight of systems and tools to ensure accurate, timely and clear reporting, including input into Board and shareholder reportsLead and deliver the Continuous Improvement plan for program finance, ensuring tools, systems, processes and frameworks are efficient, effective and aligned to best practiceProvide decision support on ad hoc projects, including bidding and pricing activities, and support the shaping of key contractsDocument, enforce and communicate key project accounting processes across the business, ensuring consistency and compliancePartner with ASC stakeholders and develop strong relationships with the customer to influence financial strategies and positive contractual outcomesEngage with and support external and customer auditsSupport and actively review peer Finance Managers\' outputs to maintain adherence to timelines and quality standardsAct as a key enabler of finance system improvement initiatives and lead continuous improvement projects across process, people and systemsSet a clear and consistent environment where performance expectations are understood, providing feedback and identifying development opportunities to support team and organisational successCandidate profileYou will be an accomplished finance professional with proven success in project financial management, ideally in large-scale or complex environments.
You combine strong technical knowledge with the ability to influence, advise and partner with senior stakeholders.Specifically, you will bring:Tertiary qualifications in Commerce or Accounting, with full CA/CPA/CIMA membershipStrong track record in project or program financial management, including bids and pricing supportProven commercial acumen with the ability to support contract negotiations and strategic decision makingExcellent stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust at all levelsAnalytical strength and resilience in a complex, fast-moving environmentSound knowledge of ERP systems, with Power BI or earned value management techniques highly regardedWhat\'s on offerASC offers an industry-leading benefits and wellness program, including hybrid working, flexibility, family support, additional leave and a strong focus on professional development.
