Teaching Opportunity

Fostering a strong learning culture through teamwork and commitment to high expectations is at the heart of our school's vision.

We collaborate closely with the community to support student success and offer excellent facilities for diverse learning opportunities.

With an enrolment of 186 students, including 27% Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students and 25% from non-English-speaking backgrounds, we provide inclusive education.

* Additionally to general selection criteria, approval to teach special education and experience teaching students with autism and intellectual disabilities within a support unit is required.
* Able to lead and support staff in adopting differentiated teaching strategies that foster an inclusive classroom environment, and use data effectively to inform teaching practices and improve student outcomes, particularly for students with additional needs.
* Ability to plan, deliver, and modify educational programs to meet the diverse needs of students with disability, including experience working with Personalised Learning and Support Plans (IEPs) and applying strategies that support student engagement and development.
* Proven ability to build positive partnerships with families and carers, empowering them as active participants in their child's education, and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement holistic support plans for students.
* Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice.
* Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs.
* Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams.
* Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents.
* Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning.
* Knowledge of and commitment to departmental policies and procedures.

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.

Applicants are to include details of their WWCC clearance number as part of this application.
