Step Into a Leadership Role from Day One
Are you the kind of person who steps up under pressure, notices issues before they become problems, and takes pride in making an entire clinic run faster, smarter, and better?
We're looking for a dual-trained Receptionist / Dental Assistant who is resilient, highly skilled, hyper-detailed, and ready to lead from the front.
This is not a desk-only role, and it's not suited to someone looking for an easy, slow, or sheltered position. We're after someone who thrives in the real world of busy clinics — someone who can handle genuine challenges, step up during demanding days (including longer hours when required), and who genuinely enjoys the pace, pressure, and problem-solving that comes with it.
This opportunity is based at our rapidly growing Bayswater clinic, where you'll play a key role in shaping systems, supporting dentists, and delivering an exceptional patient experience from the ground up.
Why Join Dental One?
With multiple clinics across Melbourne — including Craigieburn, Epping, Reservoir, South Yarra, Bayswater, Richmond, Templestowe, Essendon and Caroline Springs — Dental One is growing quickly and investing heavily in high-performing people.
Here, you won't just fill a role — your hard work will be recognised, rewarded, and supported as you grow your career.
The Perks
* Competitive salary with regular performance and pay reviews
* Bonus and voucher reward systems recognising exceptional performance
* End-of-year bonuses
* Employee dental discounts
* Fully equipped kitchens with coffee machines, snacks & food
* Regular celebration days, coffee days & team lunches
* Group-wide training and professional development
* Clear pathways into clinical leadership, training, operations & beyond
* Team-building events
* A strong promote-from-within culture — we grow our leaders internally
Your Role & Impact
This is a hands-on leadership role that blends clinical assisting, reception, and operational oversight.
You will:
* Lead daily clinical and front desk operations
* Deliver outstanding patient care and customer service
* Support dentists to improve efficiency, flow, and productivity
* Identify bottlenecks and implement smarter systems
* Manage stock, ordering, equipment, and clinical protocols
* Uphold infection control and clinical excellence
* Step in wherever needed — clinically or front desk — to keep the clinic running seamlessly
* Lead by example and positively influence team culture
Your contribution will directly impact patient experience, team performance, and clinic growth.
About You
You're confident, organised, calm under pressure, and solutions-driven. You bring:
* Proven experience in both chair-side dental assisting and dental reception
* Strong clinical awareness and attention to detail
* Confidence managing stock, protocols, and workflows
* Ability to thrive in busy, high-demand environments
* A mindset focused on continuous improvement
* Cert III or IV in Dental Assisting (preferred but not essential)
