Role Overview
As a Logistics Assistant, you will play a key role in the daily operations and supply chain management that underpin the company's success.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide administrative support—including document management, filing, and maintaining systems and preparing delivery instructions for transport.
· Liaise with shipping lines and overseas suppliers to ensure efficient product movement.
· Monitor and update shipping and vessel information daily.
· Manage import shipping documentation with precision.
· Follow up on deliveries with transport companies and customers, communicating proactively about delays.
· Reconcile transport invoices and Proof of Delivery (PODs), identifying discrepancies.
· Customs clearance using ICS and, if needed, liaise with Australian Border Force (training is provided).
· Maintain Masterfile and other internal document updated.
Skills & Experience
Must-Have:
· Positive attitude and strong attention to detail.
· Excellent written and verbal English skills.
Desirable:
· Experience in logistics, shipping control, or import settings.
· Document processing experience.
· Customer service background.
· Competency in MS Excel; familiarity with Sage a bonus.
· Second language skills are valued.
· Relevant training in shipping, logistics, or customs.
Working Hours
· Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm.
