Job Overview

Permanent Full-Time appointment at up to 80 hours per fortnight. An opportunity exists for a talented and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the team at Marble Bar Nursing Post in Pilbara.

To be successful, you will have a current knowledge of legislative obligations for Equal Opportunity, Disability Services and Occupational Safety and Health, an understanding of the principles of Primary Health Care and Community Development, broad nursing experience with recent accident and emergency skills, and demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multi‐disciplinary team in a remote Aboriginal community or cross‐cultural setting. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) and well‐developed problem‐solving and negotiation skills are required. Pharmacology competency or working towards the same is also required.

Position Profile

Work as a member of a multidisciplinary team within a primary healthcare framework in partnership with the community and other organisations. Provide planned, coordinated and comprehensive primary health and emergency care to families and individuals of that community.
