The Role: This is a twofold leadership role : First, you'll lead and inspire a national team of Business Coaches who work directly with individual business owners to improve performance, profitability, and long-term sustainability. Second, you’ll be a key strategic partner, building meaningful relationships and identifying opportunities for network-wide growth through commercial insight, operational oversight, and member engagement. You’ll work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including industry partners and suppliers and you’ll collaborate with the executive team to deliver real outcomes. This role reports directly to the CEO and plays a critical role in shaping the future direction of the network. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing member engagement by refining service offerings and optimising membership tiers to deliver maximum value to independent small businesses, by coaching internal teams, influencing key stakeholders and supporting members to optimise commercial outcomes. Your day-to-day will include: Mentoring and coaching a high-performing national team Leading strategic initiatives to improve service delivery and member outcomes Supporting member recruitment and retention across the network Driving increased engagement with internal systems, services and business tools Providing clarity, structure, and accountability across business planning, reporting and performance metrics Acting as a cultural role model who empowers, listens and leads by example To be successful in this role, you'll bring: Proven leadership experience across multi-site operations, franchises, or regional/national teams Strong relationship management capabilities, with a track record of influencing stakeholders at all levels Demonstrated success in commercial growth, operational performance, or service delivery leadership Financially astute, with the ability to interpret budgets, P&Ls, and key performance metrics Strategic mindset paired with hands-on execution—you’re comfortable getting in the trenches when needed High emotional intelligence with a talent for coaching, developing, and motivating individuals and teams Industry experience in healthcare, franchising, retail, or membership-based environments (advantageous but not essential) A dynamic mix of leadership, strategic delivery, member engagement, and program execution Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in presenting to senior audiences Skilled at building engaging, data-driven presentations using PowerPoint and Excel Deep understanding of retail market dynamics and drivers of sustainable performance Highly organised with strong project management capability and acute attention to detail Experience preparing high-quality management reports, identifying trends, and spotting growth opportunities Able to lead the effective use of CRM systems across teams to support engagement and performance Builds trusted relationships with member practices, helping identify needs and enable growth Effective at driving member satisfaction, loyalty, and long-term retention Collaborative in co-developing tailored business plans and actionable growth strategies Strong commercial acumen, including cash flow and budget oversight Analytical thinker with the ability to draw insights from data to inform strategy Proficient in modern reporting tools and digital platforms for business analysis Experienced in end-to-end project and program management (ideal) What’s In It for You: A senior leadership role with real influence—reporting directly to the CEO The chance to lead a passionate, capable national team making a real difference A hybrid work model (home, office and national travel) for flexibility and variety Work for an organisation that genuinely values purpose, performance and people Help shape the future of a growing national network while making a positive community impact If you're a driven, authentic leader who thrives on building relationships, developing people, and unlocking growth—this is the opportunity to make your mark.
