We are now seeking an experienced Construction Manager to take ownership of all residential builds nationally, with a clear pathway to evolve into a National Building Manager role as the business scales.
About the Role
This is a rare opportunity to step into a role that, in a larger organisation, would be split between a Construction Manager and a National Building Manager. Initially, you'll operate hands-on across both scopes, shaping systems, leading people, and setting the standard for construction delivery across Australia.
The role is ideally suited to someone from a mid-sized residential building company who has successfully delivered both custom builds and high-volume housing, and is ready to step into a broader national leadership position.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of all residential projects, from concept through to completion, with a strong focus on quality, safety, timelines, and budget performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the construction of multiple concurrent residential projects from concept to completion
* Engage and manage builders, supervisors, and third-party contractors to agreed timelines and deliverables
* Assist in creating builder tender packs, scopes of work, and contractor briefs
* Lead regular onsite meetings with builders, contractors, and key suppliers
* Provide clear weekly reporting on progress, risks, and outcomes
* Build and maintain strong relationships with trades and suppliers nationwide
* Oversee and mentor site-based Supervisors across multiple projects
* Monitor site performance to ensure budgets, timelines, quality, and safety standards are consistently met
* Drive accountability and foster a strong safety-first culture across all sites
* Collaborate closely with internal design, estimating, and client service teams
* Contribute to continuous improvement across construction processes and delivery outcomes
About You This role will suit a construction leader with a strong trade background and proven leadership capability.
You will ideally have:
* A trade background, ideally in carpentry, with substantial on-the-tools building experience
* Proven' experience as a Supervisor, Senior Supervisor, Area Manager, or Construction Manager
* Experience overseeing multiple supervisors across both custom home builds and high-volume residential builds for a mid-sized builder
* Exposure to custom or bespoke residential construction alongside volume delivery
* A strong, stable employment history demonstrating career progression and leadership growth
