We are looking into upcoming opportunities in the Mackay Region for Safety Advisors with Road Infrastructure experience interested in registering with us and capable of committing to assignments for varying periods of between a year or two with a possibility of extensions and other projects if we are successful in Tendering. Responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to: Assist in the preparation & implementation of health and safety plans Complete risk assessments, audits, task observations and safety investigations Complete and maintain any documentation required on the project as per requirements & ensure relevant legislation is adhered to. Manage and develop relationships with employees and stakeholders Essential Skills required for undertaking this role: Must have a minimum of 2 years’ Safety Advising experience on Road Infrastructure construction projects, with at least a year of that working directly or indirectly on TMR Roads Infrastructure Projects, or alternatively with councils or other Australian Road Authorities; Strong understanding of OH&S legislation (Australian Standards) Time management and task prioritisation capabilities, with an ability to meet deadlines and manage pressure Excellent communication skills Well-developed interpersonal and conflict resolution skills It would be anticipated that the person will have some Formal Qualifications to support their experience. The roles are likely to be based in the Mackay region, however this may vary due to the wider scope of the program over the next 5 years. FIFO &/or DIDO may be considered, although preference would be given to someone who is local to the Mackay region. You must have: the right to work in Australia, with well-developed interpersonal and consultative skills and a current drivers licence.
