Kyokuto Australia is a leading company dedicated to providing exceptional products and services to our customers. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled and hands-on Production Lead to drive operational excellence at our Stapylton facility.
About the Role
As Production Lead, you will be responsible for managing daily vehicle assembly operations, ensuring workflow efficiency, and driving a culture of teamwork, safety, and quality. This is a key leadership role that requires a hands-on approach and strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes, ideally in the automotive or heavy vehicle industry.
You will oversee the end-to-end production process, from team coordination and parts readiness to safety compliance and customer interactions. Your ability to mentor and guide a skilled team will be vital in meeting both operational goals and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate daily workshop operations and staff resources
Manage and monitor vehicle build processes, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met
Provide clear work instructions and leadership to the production team
Carry out hands-on assembly tasks when needed
Ensure safety policies and workshop compliance are maintained at all times
Engage with visiting customers and uphold Kyokuto's high service standards
Drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
Skills and Experience
Proven experience in a manufacturing, mechanical, or vehicle assembly environment
Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a workshop or production role
Forklift licence and valid driver's licence
Must supply own hand tools
Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to adapt to changing priorities
High attention to detail, safety, and quality standards
Honest, friendly, and reliable with strong communication and team management skills
Automotive, truck body, or trailer experience highly regarded
