Working Conditions
* 12 Month Fixed‐Term contract
* Flexible working arrangements
The Role
As our Business Intelligence Developer, you'll design, develop and maintain BI solutions that turn complex data into trusted, well‐governed information our business relies on to make decisions. Sitting within the Business Intelligence team and reporting to the BI Manager, you'll sustain a high‐performing data warehouse environment, apply ETL design patterns, and safeguard data quality and consistency across our reporting and analytics platforms.
You'll build and enhance reporting and analytical applications across Power BI, Tableau and SSRS, translating complex data into clear, compelling insights for both technical and non‐technical audiences. The role spans a broad, modern toolset — automation scripting, database development, emerging AI/ML technologies — so you can deliver genuine end‐to‐end solutions that strengthen Beyond Bank's data ecosystem.
This role sits alongside a parallel Microsoft Fabric transformation program. You'll keep our current BI environment stable, reliable and well‐supported through that transition, giving the rest of the team the runway to deliver the future‐state platform.
Key Responsibilities
* Designing, developing and maintaining ETL pipelines, stored procedures, views and SQL across our data warehouse
* Building reports, dashboards and semantic models in Power BI, Tableau and SSRS that drive better decision‐making
* Producing member data extracts to support statements, marketing campaigns, communications, third‐party research and operational initiatives
* Establishing and maintaining report definitions and the business glossary so information is consistent across the bank
* Leading requirements interviews with technical and business stakeholders and translating outcomes into data mapping and technical specifications
* Managing reporting reliability — minimising downtime, recovering quickly when something fails, and keeping stakeholders informed
* Mentoring less experienced team members and contributing to cross‐functional project work
* Championing data literacy, data accuracy and a strong risk and compliance culture across the business
Qualifications
You'll be degree or tertiary qualified, or have demonstrable experience in an IT‐related field with advanced SQL development across stored procedures, views and complex scripts on Microsoft SQL Server; and significant hands‐on experience across the Microsoft BI stack — SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS and SSRS.
You'll bring hands‐on experience developing dashboards and semantic models in Power BI or Tableau, backed by a strong understanding of data modelling and dimensional warehousing principles. Comfortable using scripting (such as PowerShell), you can support scalable data and business solutions while working within structured SDLC environments. Just as importantly, you're confident engaging stakeholders and communicating complex insights in a clear, practical way.
Desirable Experience
* Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL‐300)
* Relevant Microsoft certifications
* Experience with core financial‐services systems (core banking, CRM, loan origination, general ledger)
