Location: Parramatta (Hybrid)
Employment type: Temporary (till 30 June 2028)
Salary: $149,739 – $173,174 per annum + superannuation.
Role: Senior Commercial Manager – a senior position within a team focused on providing high‐quality services and thought leadership on commercial, financial transactional, and governance aspects of commercial arrangements entered into by the agency. The role is responsible for delivering organisational efficiencies and standardisations, ensuring agreed processes and practices are adhered to through proactive stakeholder management.
What You'll Do
* Provide advice on commercial, financial and deal structures across projects and programs, adopting a strategic and risk‐based approach.
* Develop financial structures and strategies for deploying various forms of funding and finance within Homes NSW projects and with Homes NSW developer partners.
* Undertake feasibility assessment for unsolicited proposals and complex transactions.
* Manage various forms of project reporting, system operation and finance/budget management.
* Contribute to strategic, commercial and policy direction in relation to the Homes NSW portfolio and programs.
* Mitigate organisational risks by developing, implementing and maintaining best practice solutions for complex commercial, financial, legal and multi‐disciplinary issues.
* Lead the delivery of expert, authoritative and responsive advice in commercial negotiations, ensuring program consistency and objective alignment across the Homes NSW portfolio.
* Manage and interpret comprehensive financial modelling and analysis to develop project feasibilities and identify redevelopment opportunities that meet Homes NSW's program objectives.
* Provide expert, authoritative and responsive support and advice to the Director Commercial and Development and Executive Director to lead commercial business planning and implementation.
What We're Looking For
* Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with a demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
* Experience in real estate and development transactions.
* Thorough knowledge and understanding of contemporary best practice approaches to strategic procurement, financing, approvals and implementation.
* Experience in tendering and procurement, including transaction management and tender evaluation.
* Willingness to travel locally and regionally, including overnight travel, as required by the business.
