Our client is a renowned international law firm with offices in Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific and over 1,700 lawyers worldwide.
The firm is seeking an enthusiastic Associate with approximately 3 to 4 years PQE to join our dynamic Australian Intellectual Property team, with a strong focus on patent litigation and other contentious IP matters. With deep expertise in patents, trademarks, copyright, and other forms of IP rights, the Intellectual Property practice brings together a highly skilled team across the full breadth of IP issues.
The successful candidate will join the team working for a broad range of local and internationally renowned companies on all aspects of IP, from trademark protection strategy and enforcement work, IP licensing and commercialisation, and complex confidential information and patent proceedings.
About you:
You will have approximately two to four years' solid post-qualification experience in intellectual property law, gained in a leading firm with a strong academic background. The successful candidate will have:
* Excellent academic achievements.
* Solid experience working in an Intellectual Property department within a respected law firm.
* Proven hands-on experience handling complex litigation matters gained within a comparable environment and at an appropriate level.
* Proven experience across advisory IP work.
* The ability to conduct legal research and analysis on complex patent validity and infringement issues.
* A science background will be highly regarded but not required
* Market-leading Intellectual Property work
