The award-winning Dean Group of Hotels: Walkers Arms Hotel, Largs Pier Hotel, Peninsula Hotel is looking for a dynamic individual to join our team in the full-time position of Gaming Manager.
The successful applicant will be responsible to lead the gaming team in all aspects of gaming operations. This is a hands-on role; therefore we are seeking someone with an energetic personality who leads by example.
Responsibilities of the role include:
* Managing the current team of dedicated gaming staff to ensure high service standards and expectations are met
* Ensuring gaming room presentation is always of the highest standard
* Driving membership of the hotel's Rewards program
* Planning and hosting members activities
* Actively promoting the venues promotional schedule
* Attending to patrons' enquiries throughout the venue and keep gaming room guests informed of special events and promotions, often using a microphone
* Maintaining gaming compliance in line with gaming legislation and codes of practice, including regular reporting requirements
About you:
* Passionate about the hospitality industry with a particular focus on gaming
* Meet our high expectations of customer service and product presentation
* Demonstrated abilities working in a similar role within the hospitality sector
* Energetic personality which will complement the style of the dedicated gaming staff
* Natural ability to build rapport with a diverse range of clientele
* Completed Basic Gaming Training and have up to date Advanced Gaming Training (as recognised by the IGA)
* Completed nationally accredited Responsible Service of Alcohol training
* Extensive working knowledge of South Australian gaming legislation, codes of practice and how to apply them in the workplace
* Be able to work over a 7-day roster including weekends and public holidays
