Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and reliable Pastry Chef with strong baking and pastry skills to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience preparing a variety of baked goods including pastries, cakes, breads, and donuts. You will be responsible for maintaining quality, consistency, and high hygiene standards while contributing to a creative dessert and bakery offering that complements our Japanese and Japanese fusion menu.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and produce a variety of pastries, cakes, breads, donuts, and other baked goods.
* Ensure consistent quality, taste, and presentation of all pastry items.
* Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness.
* Assist with daily production planning and preparation.
* Monitor ingredient quality and manage stock levels.
* Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to meet production schedules and service demands.
* Support the development of desserts that complement Japanese and Japanese fusion cuisine.
Requirements
* Minimum 2 years of experience in pastry, baking, or a similar role.
* Full time availability preferred for Part Time min 3 days per week.
* Solid attitude, ability to learn quickly, and high attention to detail.
* Finesse, needs to be able to handle delicate work and finishing touches.
* Skills in bread and donut production, including fermentation and proofing.
* Experience making pastries, cakes, bread, donuts, and similar baked products.
* Good understanding of baking techniques and pastry production.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast‐paced kitchen environment.
* Solid attention to detail and good time management skills.
* Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
* Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team.
* Cleanliness and grooming are very important to us.
