About the Role:

This opportunity for experienced Site Safety Supervisors has become available within our Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) team. Reporting to the QHSE Manager and Site Manager, you will ensure that all sites are compliant with QHSE requirements and uphold a safe worksite that values teamwork, communication, and respect.

Duties include:

* Understand, assess, and monitor QHSE project requirements
* Evaluate the HSE hazards for the project, assess risks identified, determine and establish controls in accordance with legislative requirements
* Ensure all QHSE documents and legislative requirements have been completed and are upheld throughout the project
* Ensure all site personnel are inducted, hold the relevant licenses/training, and that all tasks have a relevant JSA/SWMS
* Liaise with site manager/project manager/architect/clients regarding project progress and safety of the site
* Conduct audits and inspections of the sites as per QHSE requirements
* Prepare injury/incident/nearmiss/damage reports

About You:

An experienced Safety Supervisor with a background in the construction industry

Passionate about safety and proactive in driving a positive safety culture

High attention to detail

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build rapport with all individuals

Proficient time management, planning, and organizational skills

Role Requirements:

* Qualification within Work, Health, Safety, and Environment
* Working knowledge of the WHS Act SA 2012 and regulations
* Working knowledge of Hammertech (desirable)
* 2-5 years' experience in a similar role within the building and construction industry
* National Police Clearance (or willing to obtain)
* White Card
* Working with Children or willing to obtain
* Current driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
* Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol test

As our people are required to attend government, health, and education facilities and construction sites, it is a condition of employment for this role that the ability to pass a pre-employment medical, background police check, and working with children clearance is adhered to.
