ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a Water Treatment Plant Operator to join our team. This is a hands-on, site-based role involved with the construction, commissioning, and operation of water treatment plants.

As a Water Treatment Plant Operator, you will be responsible for the following:

* Safe and compliant operation of water treatment plants.
* Monitor and operate the water treatment plant including troubleshooting and optimisation and resolving any technical issues that arise.
* Laboratory sampling, testing, and interpretation of data to manage and optimise treatment processes.
* Calibration of probes and instruments.
* Undertake minor equipment repair/servicing works.

ABOUT YOU

The successful candidate will be an experienced, self-starter with the ability to oversee the day-to-day operation of multiple water treatment plants.

To be considered for this position you will also need:

* Demonstrated experience as WTP operations experience.
* Understanding of the basics of pH control, coagulation / settling, filtration, and backwashing.
* Basic plumbing/equipment repair and maintenance.
* Capable of handling chemicals safely.
* Ability to operate a plant control system (HMI and basic setpoints).
* Ability to use Excel for data entry, APPs for time sheeting & safety inspections, emails for communication.
* Basic understanding of electrical systems and control (i.e. troubleshoot faulty pumps or instruments)
* Open to overtime as required and occasional Saturdays.
* Willingness to work FIFO on a rotating roster.
