Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Liquor Shop Assistant to join our team. This role involves a variety of responsibilities including customer service, stock handling, and maintaining store presentation. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a positive attitude, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service in line with company standards.
- Handle cash and operate point-of-sale systems accurately.
- Receive, unpack, and work the load (deliveries).
- Fill shelves and maintain backstock to ensure products are always available and well-presented.
- Rotate stock to ensure freshness and compliance with store standards.
- Maintain a clean, secure, and organised store environment.
- Adhere to all liquor licensing laws and store policies.
- Assist with any other general duties as required.
Requirements
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate (mandatory).
- Previous retail, customer service, or liquor industry experience (preferred but not essential).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly.
- Physically capable of lifting and moving stock.
- Flexible with availability (including potential public holidays and busy trading periods).
- Reliable and committed to working Tuesday – Saturday.
