Senior Consultant - Financial Services at Lanson Partners
An established organisation within the financial services sector is seeking an experienced Transfer Pricing Specialist to provide expert advice on complex and evolving business arrangements.
This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of tax, finance, and strategy in a highly collaborative environment.
The Role
In this position, you will deliver strategic transfer pricing advice across new and complex financial services arrangements, supporting both implementation and ongoing operational challenges.
You will be responsible for end‐to‐end transfer pricing financial reporting, including month‐end, quarter‐end, and year‐end processes, and for preparing high‐quality documentation across multiple jurisdictions in line with legislative and regulatory requirements.
Working closely with Finance and other key stakeholders, you will help drive strategic initiatives that ensure compliance, robustness, and operational excellence in transfer pricing.
You will also play an active role in transfer pricing governance and risk management frameworks.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Managing transfer pricing documentation and reporting obligations across jurisdictions
* Partnering with senior stakeholders across business units, tax, finance, and external advisors
* Monitoring and analysing developments in transfer pricing legislation, case law, and regulatory guidance
* Sharing insights on emerging trends, risks, and best practices
* Identifying opportunities for process improvement, enhanced data quality, and automation to improve efficiency and accuracy
About You
You will bring strong technical expertise and a commercial mindset, with the ability to navigate complex transfer pricing issues in a practical and solutions‐focused way.
Key requirements include:
* Solid transfer pricing technical knowledge grounded in OECD guidelines
* Strong knowledge of Australian transfer pricing rules, with awareness of UK and US transfer pricing frameworks
* Previous experience in a transfer pricing environment, either within a chartered accounting practice or a large corporate organisation
* Exposure to commodities, banking, financial services, or capital markets transactions will be highly regarded
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships at senior levels
* Strong analytical skills and confidence dealing with complex and ambiguous matters
