Are you a skilled irrigation professional looking for your next career opportunity? The City of Wanneroo is currently seeking an experienced Irrigation Technician to join our Parks Technical Irrigation team. This is a permanent full-time role with early starts, and a 9 day fortnight – giving you more time for life outside of work.
About the RoleIn this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for maintaining the City's irrigation systems to a high operational standard.
Key duties include:
* Conducting routine maintenance and repairs;
* Inspecting and testing commercial irrigation systems;
* Programming and modifying irrigation controllers;
* Watering in turf products after application;
* Contributing to water-efficient practices across public spaces.
About YouWe're looking for someone with solid irrigation knowledge, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a supportive team.
To be successful, you will have:
* Relevant experience in irrigation operation and maintenance;
* Physical capability for manual labour;
* Strong communication and teamwork skills;
* A current C Class driver's licence.
Experience in local government is a bonus, but not essential.
