Boilermaker – Workshop Based (Newcastle/ Maitland/ Rutherford)
We're seeking experienced Boilermakers for a long-term workshop-based roles starting January 2026. This is an excellent chance to join a well-established structural steel fabrication team with consistent work and a great environment.
The Opportunity
* Location: Newcastle, Maitland, or Rutherford (NSW)
* Hours: Monday to Friday, 6am–4pm + potential overtime
* Pay Rate: $45–$50 per hour + super (depending on experience)
* Duration: 3-month contract with potential for ongoing or permanent employment
* Environment: Large workshop facilities
Your Role
Working within a busy structural steel workshop, your duties will include:
* Welding medium to heavy structural steel
* Welding out structural steel columns and beams
* Cutting, grinding, and finishing metal components
* Operating overhead cranes for material movement
* Reading and interpreting fabrication drawings and plans
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* Trade qualification – Certificate III in Engineering (Fabrication/Welding)
* Minimum 2 years' post-apprenticeship experience
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
* Ability to work full-time hours
