Exciting and Unique Opportunity
North East Water is expanding our largest wastewater treatment plant with the addition of anaerobic digestors to create renewable energy that can be used 'behind the meter' and meet our 100% renewable energy vision
This project will also improve capacity for existing treatment processes and unlock growth in the Wodonga region.
About this Role
As the
Operator Mechanical Wastewater Treatment,
you will be based at the West Wodonga Wastewater Treatment Plant and gain first-hand experience working with this exciting new technology You'll also play a critical role in ensuring success at our Bellbridge and Mount Beauty sites.
In this role you will:
* Execute mechanical wastewater treatment tasks, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
* Maintain a strong record of safety and compliance in all mechanical wastewater treatment operations.
* Collaborate and be part of a flexible, multi-skilled mechanical wastewater treatment team.
This role is a
full-time, ongoing opportunity,
including a monthly RDO and flexible work options.

Key Selection Criteria
* Knowledge and experience in wastewater treatment.
* Ability to prioritise and complete tasks on schedule.
* Experience in the Microsoft Office suite and in SCADA monitoring.
* Understanding of the regulatory requirements for Environmental Licence Compliance.
* Driver's licence (essential) and medium rigid truck licence (desirable)
* Certificate III in Water Industry Operations is desirable.

Position Information
* An attractive salary range of $65,028 to $75,160 plus 12% superannuation, depending on skills and experience.
* Additional remuneration is available through participation in the on-call roster and overtime requirements.
* This is a full time, ongoing position.
* Successful applicants will be required to undertake pre-employment checks including a police check and/or pre-employment medical and functional testing where applicable.
