The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a Principal ICT Category Manager to be part of our Corporate Services Division within the Department of Primary Industries and Regions.

The Principal ICT Category Manager is responsible for ensuring PIRSA achieves maximum value and risk mitigation from all outsourced ICT services through effective delivery of procurement and contract management activities. This role leads the development and maintenance of comprehensive contract management plans, oversees the full procurement lifecycle, and ensures all processes are compliant with agency and whole-of-government policies. The Principal ICT Category Manager facilitates effective procurement planning, tender evaluations, strategic negotiation, establishing and management of ICT contracts, maintaining accurate records, and proactively resolving service issues. The role provides PIRSA ICT with a reliable, efficient, and wholistic procurement and contract management service that supports the agency's strategic objectives and delivers a secure ICT environment for PIRSA and its customers.

The role contributes delivering the agency's priorities including organisational performance as a modern, flexible and responsive organisation that values and develops its people.

The role contributes to delivering Corporate Services directions including providing an efficient, reliable and secure ICT environment that supports PIRSA in delivering services to its customers and takes advantage of new technologies to enable improvements in the way the agency operates.

Special Conditions

* Successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a National Police Check (NPC) prior to being made an offer of employment.

* Full time opportunity, 37.5 hours per week

Requirements

* Out of hours work and inter / intrastate travel may be required.
* You acknowledge your work, health and safety obligations and our expectations.
* Australian residency or current works permit is required (responsibility of applicant to provide evidence of a current work permit).
* The incumbent will be required to undertake emergency management training and must be willing to participate in emergency preparedness, response and recovery activities required by government agencies.

Remuneration

ASO7 - $108,109 min - $116,864 max per annum, plus superannuation
