The Role
We are establishing a pool of Cleaners for permanent and fixed‐term, full‐time and part‐time vacancies that may arise during the 2026 school year at Ellenbrook Secondary College. Cleaners will be responsible for maintaining a safe and hygienic school environment through both internal and external cleaning duties.
Responsibilities
* Maintain carpets and hard‐floor surfaces, toilets, furniture and fittings, windows, dusting, rubbish removal and general cleaning of internal spaces.
* Perform external cleaning tasks such as cleaning verandas and covered areas, removing rubbish, cleaning drinking troughs, removing cobwebs and other general duties.
* During vacation periods undertake stripping and sealing of vinyl floors, window cleaning, carpet shampooing and pressure cleaning of verandas and undercover areas.
Qualifications and Experience
* Good attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Organisation, honesty, reliability, punctuality.
* Excellent knowledge of cleaning equipment and safe cleaning procedures, methods and practices.
Eligibility Requirements
* Obtain a valid Working With Children Check.
* Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number from the Department of Education's Screening Unit before commencement.
* Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or hold a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
