Contract Duration: Initial 12-month contract, with 2 x 12-month extension options
Security Clearance: Due to the nature of this environment, candidates are required to have a TSPV clearance to perform this role.
This position is open to Australian citizens with a valid security clearance due to role requirements. We are committed to a non-discriminatory hiring process but, unfortunately, cannot provide visa sponsorship for overseas applicants.
Essential Tasks:
* Develop software across a range of languages and development environments to support CV and ML outcomes
* Work with data scientists to build software, integrate models and analytics, and contribute to CV model development
* Document processes, communicate solutions clearly, and support continuous improvement of software engineering practices
* Engage with subject-matter experts and stakeholders to refine solutions and support effective deployment outcomes
Key Criteria:
* Strong software development experience with the ability to design, code, test, document, and improve complex programs
* Experience working within integrated technical and non-technical teams in secure or mission-focused environments
* Exposure to computer vision, machine learning integration, or analytics-focused software development
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a small, high-performing team
