At SKIDATA, we're leaders in cutting‑edge access solutions, and we're looking for a skilled and motivated Service Technician to join our Field Service Operations team in VIC. If you have a passion for technology, enjoy solving problems, and want to play a key role in keeping our systems running smoothly, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.


What You'll Do

Technical Service & Maintenance: Deliver timely repairs, preventative maintenance, and fault diagnosis on SKIDATA equipment and sites.

Installation & Commissioning: Install, configure, and commission new access systems across VIC, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.

Administration: Accurately complete work orders, installation documentation, warranty forms, and parts management in ServiceNow.

Customer Support: Act as a trusted point of contact for clients, providing technical advice and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

OHS & Professionalism: Maintain high standards of safety, presentation, and equipment upkeep, while identifying and reporting hazards promptly.

In this role, you'll be hands‑on, supporting clients across multiple sites, while contributing to the quality and reliability that SKIDATA is known for globally.


What You Bring

2–3 years' experience in a service, maintenance, or installation role.

Qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Advanced Electronics (or working towards one).

Strong computer literacy and programming skills.

Solid problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.

Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

A customer‑focused mindset and commitment to continuous learning.
