Softtestpays Client is merging two main entities of super groups into one. As part of this program, they have inherited 4 main data centres with incumbents of NTT and Interactive. The merger has led to an opportunity to consolidate onto cloud and decommission both the data centres and end-of-life equipment; they do not wish to refresh or renew these arrangements in the next 12 months. This piece of work is focused on a tactical VMware migration rather than a move to a full cloud-native workplace.
Responsibilities
- Perform a tactical VMware migration as part of the data centre consolidation and decommissioning effort.
- Coordinate decommissioning of legacy data centre equipment in line with the 12-month horizon.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition and minimal service disruption.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Australian citizenship (residing in Australia).
- Police clearance.
- Availability to start ASAP; contract from now to 12 months with potential extensions.
- Location flexibility with Brisbane preferred, and openness to Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney, Hobart, Darwin, Adelaide, or Perth.
- Experience with VMware migration and data centre consolidation projects.
