About the Role
The newly created position of Practice Leader is accountable for the quality, delivery, and strategic growth of the Living, Learning + Leisure model, which provides one-to-one support, small group activities, and development opportunities in the West Gippsland region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, support and develop a team of Disability Support Workers and Senior Disability Support Workers delivering NDIS-funded services
- Ensure service delivery reflects the principles of Person-Centred Practice, Active Support, Positive Behaviour Support, and Reflective Practice
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including workforce coordination, documentation (incident reports, goal progress, and journal notes), and service compliance
- Foster strong relationships with clients, families, Support Coordinators, and community stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement, service innovation, and community engagement
- Contribute to Knoxbrooke’s broader strategic goals and organisational development
About You
You are a confident, compassionate, and experienced leader with a deep understanding of the NDIS and a strong commitment to best practice. You thrive in dynamic environments, approach challenges with a solution-focused mindset, and are passionate about driving meaningful outcomes for people with disabilities. We are looking for someone with the following:
- A Diploma in Community Services or a related qualification
- Proven experience leading teams in the disability services sector
- Experience growing or expanding disability services
- A thorough understanding of NDIS processes, person-centred planning, and active support models
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Flexibility to work across multiple sites and respond to emerging needs
- Current First Aid, CPR, Driver’s Licence, and NDIS Worker Screening Check
