Warehouse Operations Assistant
Costco Wholesale, a leading retailer with warehouse club operations worldwide, seeks an experienced forklift operator to join its team. This part-time position offers a guaranteed 24 hours per week and great rates, along with employee benefits.
The ideal candidate will have a current forklift license and relative experience in forklift operation. They should be energetic, hardworking, reliable, and timely. Additionally, they should possess high-reach standing forklift experience and stock handling/receiving experience.
The responsibilities of this role include:
* Completing daily forklift safety checklists;
* Operating electric forklifts and electric pallet jacks to move merchandise;
* Ensuring delivery vehicles are secure and safe;
* Transferring merchandise from delivery vehicles to receiving docks;
* Completing receiving processes, including quantity, quality, and food safety checks;
* Using IT systems to review invoicing of received goods;
* Moving merchandise in and out of the steel racks;
* Removing empty pallets from the sales floor;
* Performing outdoor work in the pallet yard;
* Maintaining safety and organization of receiving docks;
* Providing prompt and courteous customer service;
* Assisting with stocking and clearing debris from the sales floor;
* Directing customers to products and information needed.
This is a non-essential functions and tasks role that requires:
* Assisting with front-end duties as necessary;
* Assisting in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.
Essential requirements include having a current forklift license, relative and recent experience in forklift operation, and being able to pass pre-employment screening and post-hire testing. Costco Wholesale is a drug and alcohol-free workplace.
