Northrop Grumman Australia is seeking an Operations & Maintenance Manager to support the Deep Space Advanced Radar Capability (DARC) program in partnership with the United States and Australia.
Based in Exmouth, Western Australia, this role places you at the forefront of space domain awareness operations. You'll lead operational activities for a cutting-edge radar system designed to track objects in deep space and protect critical space assets.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a program that directly supports allied defence industries, while living and working in one of Australia's most unique coastal regions.
Your Role:
As the Operations and Maintenance Manager at DARC site 1, you’ll lead the O&M team, manage suppliers and subcontractors, and oversee the maintenance of plant and equipment. You’ll ensure seamless operations across all facilities while maintaining security standards and supporting both onsite and remote activities.
* Lead and manage the Operations and Maintenance team to achieve operational excellence
* Oversee supplier and subcontractor performance to meet contractual and safety requirements
* Enable the success of the team on site
* Foster strong relationships with internal, local, and international stakeholders
About You:
You’re an experienced and hands-on leader with a strong background in facility operations and maintenance. You excel in managing people, systems, and risks, ensuring performance, compliance, and the delivery of critical Defence capabilities.
* Proven experience managing O&M operations in a technical or Defence environment
* Skilled in planned and reactive maintenance of power and electrical or mechanical systems
* Recognized certificates required in either electrical, mechanical, diesel or plant operations
