Tree Care Professional
We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Tree Care Professional. This role will involve assisting the tree maintenance team in undertaking hands-on maintenance of the City's trees in public open space and streetscapes.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of horticultural practices relating to tree care, including manual labour and/or operating machinery as required to perform tree planting and tree care maintenance activities.
It is essential to have a current 'MR' class driver's licence as well as a Construction Induction Training (White Card).
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, have a keen interest in high-quality urban greening activities and tree care maintenance in parks, reserves and streetscapes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the tree maintenance team in undertaking hands-on maintenance of the City's trees
* Provide operations support to achieve high-quality outcomes for urban greening
* Manual labour and/or operating machinery as required to perform tree planting and tree care maintenance activities
Selection Criteria:
* Arboriculture/Horticultural related industry operational experience
* Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team environment or able to work alone under direction
* Able to prioritise work and manage own time
* Sound communication and interpersonal skills
* Literacy and numeracy skills
* Able to work in accordance with WHS industry obligations
