Create Health is a private women's health group in Melbourne specialising in Obstetrics, Gynaecology, and Fertility treatments and offer a full range of specialist medical services related to women's health. Established in September 2019, Create provides exceptional and holistic care for all women, in a supportive, patient-centred environment.
We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate who will thrive in a busy team environment and be motivated to grow with our expanding practice.
We currently have three sites located in Mount Waverley, Berwick and East Melbourne, and the role will be primarily based in Mount Waverley.
About the Role
As a member of the Create Health Administration Team, anything non-clinical sits with you. In your role as an administration team member, you assist with providing the patient with a streamlined and simplified experience during their patient journey. You collaborate with the team to resolve any issues that arise and are a key contact for any questions our patients may have along the way.
The Medical Secretary duties include:
* providing professional service with a commitment to excellence in patient care and politely attending to patients calling or visiting the practice;
* providing accurate and timely administration of appointments, referrals, operating list administration, clinic billing, theatre billing, debtor follow up, other clinic administrative duties;
* diligent and enthusiastic approach to work with high attention to detail, time management and multitask ability;
* providing excellent administration support to the specialists, nurses and scientists;
* efficiently referring and following up all clinical queries to the appropriate team members
* maintains a high level of written and verbal communication skills;
* assisting with other generic administration tasks as required;
* maintaining confidentiality, patient privacy and all practice information always.
About You
To be a member of our team, you will have:
* experience in billing Medicare and Private Health - previous experience in a healthcare setting is highly desired
* experience in medical and/or IVF administration is highly desired
* an energetic and friendly disposition;
* a reliable and punctual work commitment;
* the ability to work autonomously within a fast-paced team environment;
* the ability to work flexibly in a team environment including occasionally starting early or leaving after hours in emergency circumstances.
* a calm and friendly patient manner
* proficient computer skills (experience in medical software packages is desirable but not essential);
* a high level of communication and interpersonal skills;
* ability to learn new and diverse tasks that may be present in our expanding organization.
