As a proactive Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and delivering road-related projects to achieve safety, asset management, and network efficiency objectives. Your four-year engineering degree and experience in road maintenance construction projects will serve as a solid foundation for this position.
This is an in-person, on-site role that requires effective problem-solving skills and the ability to manage a direct workforce. You must hold a valid driver's license and be willing to work outside normal working hours and travel occasionally.
The job involves managing projects and delivery processes, including direct control and contract works to ensure nominated road projects are completed. This is a temporary full-time position up until March 2026. However, Transport for NSW is currently consulting to determine its workplace presence proposal, which could impact the availability of flexible working arrangements.
You will be part of the Maintenance and Delivery Far North Coast team, working closely with colleagues to deliver projects that improve road safety, asset management, and network efficiency. The proposed changes do not impact the opportunity to work in a hybrid agreement, providing an inclusive working environment and supporting employees to work effectively and productively.
