Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly experienced Employee and Industrial Relations professional to lead the delivery of clear, consistent, and practical ER/IR advice. This leadership role is responsible for guiding the management of complex matters, including disciplinary processes, disputes, and grievances, while ensuring a high standard of interpretation and application within a single agreement/award environment. The incumbent will work closely with executive stakeholders, union delegates, and employees, building credible and respectful relationships that support balanced outcomes.
The role operates in a fast‐paced environment where priorities compete. Essential skills include the ability to stay organised, exercise sound judgement, and deliver well‐reasoned, defensible advice. The successful candidate will lead a small function while remaining hands‐on in complex casework, directly managing organisational risk and supporting a positive workplace culture.
Qualifications
Extensive WA Public Sector ER/IR experience is essential, along with a strong familiarity with WAIRC processes and industrial instruments, and proven experience working with unions and delegates.

Salary
Level 7, $144,755 – $154,717 per annum (effective 13 June 2026).
