An exciting opportunity exists for a Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) to undertake the role of Clinical Governance Project Officer Sepsis and Critical Infection at Albury Wodonga Health. This role provides clinical leadership focused on improving early recognition, timely escalation, and evidence-based management of sepsis and critical infection (SEPCI) patients, particularly within the Emergency Department. Key responsibilities include advanced clinical practice and professional upskilling in SEPCI management; delivery of targeted nursing education; and leadership of quality improvement activties, including trialling, auditing, and refining a SEPCI clinical tool with potential for research and publication. The CNC will provide real-time clinical feedback to support safe, effective practice and improved patient outcomes.

The role includes close collaboration with the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program and the Infectious Diseases team, contributing to system-wide governance, anti-microbial optimisation, and continuous improvement. Applicants must demonstrate strong clinical expertise, excellent communication and leadership skills, and alignment with CNC capability domains. An interest or experience in program development, audit, and research is highly deirable.
