The Role
This hands-on role is suited for someone who has strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, cloud technologies, troubleshooting skills and who thrives in a collaborative, dynamic environment to optimise system performance.
What You’ll Do
- Work closely with the Infrastructure and Engineering Teams, assisting in the day-to-day performance management of the infrastructure, providing operational expertise and guidance to improve system efficiency.
- Diagnose and resolve complex system issues, including network, hardware and software problems.
- Implementing and maintaining security policies, patch updates and mitigating security threats.
- Methodical approach in applying system changes and updates to minimise operational risks.
- Work with datacenter and cloud technologies.
- Participate in an on-call roster.
Ideal Qualifications
- Knowledge of Linux operating systems
- Knowledge in Virtualisation Technology
- Knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals
- Experience in scripting (Shell, Bash, PowerShell etc)
- Experience with Ansible or similar tools.
- Experience with AWS (Certification is required)
Nice To Have
- Experience in preventing and mitigating Security Risks
- A passion for open source technologies.
- Knowledge with developers tools (JIRA, Git, Teamcity etc)
- Excellent documentation skills.
